Beckie returns to Belmont Day School as a member of the associate teacher program while pursuing her license and a master's degree in early childhood education at Lesley University. She graduated from Northeastern University in 2017 with a B.S. in theater production, and for the past four years she has lived and worked in Chicago building costumes for the Lyric Opera of Chicago and the Paramount Theatre, among others. During college, she was a one-to-one tutor in Weston Public Schools, and a classroom assistant in the Weston Windows Preschool for three summers. After the theater industry shut down last March, Beckie decided to return to the classroom, and was thrilled to get a job as a long-term substitute at Concord Integrated Preschool. Beckie is also a licensed horseback riding instructor, and loves helping students gain confidence and build a relationship with their horses. In her free time, she enjoys riding her pony, Eldar, building Lego sets with her fiancé, and walking her dog to the nearby ice cream shop.

Three Thoughts:
My favorite children's book is... Tuck in the Pool by Martha Weston

If I could have dinner with anyone dead or alive who would it be... Lin Manuel Miranda, since I worked in theater for five years. He is a genius, and it was incredible that Hamilton was able to bring so many people to the theater who might not otherwise have come.

Three words that describe my work style are... collaborative, lighthearted, and understanding.
