Admissions Process for Siblings Applying to Pre-k, Kindergarten, and Grade 6

Step One: Request Information

Contact Director of Admissions Liz Parfit to begin the admissions process.

Step Two: Submit a Preliminary Application by October 30, 2026

Create a Ravenna account or add a student to your existing account at www.ravenna-hub.com. Once logged in, complete your demographic information, select Boston Area from the regional school drop-down menu, and choose Belmont Day School from the list of schools.

Please complete and submit the preliminary application by our October 30, 2026 deadline. The application fee is $50. If the cost is a barrier for your family, please complete this short fee waiver request form for review by the Director of Financial Assistance, Elena Jay.

Step Three: Schedule and Complete a Parent/Guardian Interview

After you have submitted a preliminary application, please email lparfit@belmontday.org to schedule a parent/guardian interview. Interviews are 20 minutes long and conducted over Zoom. Students are not present for these meetings.

Step Four: Complete the Application by December 4, 2026

Please log in to Ravenna to review the application requirements for your student’s grade level.

Applicants to grades 6 and 7 must submit either ISEE or SSAT test scores. The score report is only one data point in our holistic admissions process. There is no cutoff or set score requirement. We will consider your student’s test results alongside all other components of the application. If you have any questions or concerns about this step in the process, please contact us at admissions@belmontday.org or 617-932-3885.

Both exams are offered only on a few dates in the fall and winter, so we recommend registering as soon as possible. For guidance on which test and format is best for your students, we encourage you to review this helpful resource from Admission.org.

The test usually costs $150-$250, depending on the testing format you select. If the cost is a barrier for your family, please complete this short fee waiver request form, which the Director of Financial Assistance, Elena Jay, will review.

For more details and school reporting codes, please see our application steps in Ravenna.
