Caroline is excited to be part of the Associate Teacher Program for the 2021-2022 school year. Her goal is to work with older students and teach history with a political science focus. She graduated from Connecticut College in 2018 having focused on International Relations, Economics, and Arabic. One of the highlights of her college experience was studying abroad in Jordan in Spring 2017. After graduating, Caroline worked as a paralegal at a New York City law firm for two years, and her takeaway from that time was that she really did not want to be a lawyer. Leaving that job close to the beginning of the pandemic, she started tutoring a few students to augment their new remote learning experience. Through that work, she discovered she really enjoyed the act of planning material, engaging with students, and hearing their thoughts and questions about a topic. Caroline has been teaching in the Lincoln Public Schools for the past school year, working in three middle school classrooms grades 6-8. Caroline enjoys reading and watching British mysteries, going for long walks, and baking.

Three Thoughts:
My Capstone Project would be... a comparative analysis of the governments in Saudi Arabia and Iran.

If I could have dinner with anyone (dead or alive), I would choose... Elizabeth Bennett. I know she's not real, but she is my all-time favorite character in literature and I see much of myself in her.

My favorite children's books or author is/are... the Olivia books by Ian Falconer. Olivia is a spunky pig who knows what she wants.
