Namaste, Nature, and Creativity 

Preschool, Pre-k, and Kindergarten

The days will begin with yoga games and asana practice. Children will take walks in the woods, learn yoga chants, and explore the philosophy and history of yoga in a team-focused way. They will create art inspired by the movement, breathing, and guided resting journey of yoga practice. A free swim period is included every day. A gallery showing for parents will take place on the last day. Led by Belmont Day enrichment specialist Mary Jo Peterman.

Numbers and Nature 1

Pre-k and Kindergarten

This program highlights the amazing intersection of numbers and nature for our youngest campers and newest counters. Using the trails in the woods surrounding campus, children will explore the natural world and experience the excitement of numbers and counting. Led by Belmont Day teachers Larissa Rochford ’93 and Leigh Twarog.

ArtStart

Grades 1 to 4

ArtStart is a week-long creative program for young artists. Children will work in small groups with professional teacher-artists in a variety of arts projects: movement, drama, music, and visual arts. The week will culminate in a special performance on Friday. Stay tuned for this year’s theatrical selection! This program, led by Belmont Day School enrichment specialists Kathy Randall, Valery Marcantonio, and Jessica Cormier, includes recreational activities and a daily swim period.

Children will take a culinary journey around the world exploring Indian, Asian, Italian, and Mexican/South American food. By preparing an assortment of recipes each day, they will develop culinary skills including ingredient, taste, and flavor identification, and knife handling. The school garden will serve as a tool for learning about local and seasonal foods. The program will include a visit to a local farmers' market. A swim lesson and free swim period are part of each day. Led by Belmont Day's head chef Tara Lightbody.

Grades 3 and 4

Campers will learn programming skills through use of Ozobots, build bridges, create a water slide, design an egg drop, engage in "mystery STEM bag" challenges, and more! This week is a great introduction to robotics, programming, and engineering.  Campers will also participate in a swim lesson and free swim period daily. ​

STEM: Novel Engineering

Grades 1 and 2

Problem solving gand creativity come together in this interdisciplinary program. Campers will read stories, identify challenges for characters, and then brainstorm, design, and engineer solutions to help alleviate the obstacle. They will use a wide range of materials including pipe cleaners, PVC pipes, popsicle sticks, cardboard, cups, recyclables, tape, and more to solve each challenge. Campers will enjoy a swim lesson and free swim period each day.

Please note: All of our programs close for registration at noon on the Thursday before the session start date, unless the program is already at capacity. Enrollment after this time may be available, but is at the director's discretion and may incur an additional late enrollment fee.

Extended Day Camp Sessions A1 through D

Morning Extended Day - Drop-off as early as 7:45 a.m.

Afternoon Extended Day - Pick-up as late as 5:30 p.m.
$250 per two week session - pro-rated for sessions A2 (camp closed on July 4) and D (no extended day on last day of camp, Friday, August 21)

Payment Terms for Specialty and Sports Programs

  • Payment is due in full at the time of enrollment. Participants will not be registered, and have their space guaranteed until payment, in full, is made.
  • Refunds will only be given in the following situations:
    • Medical or family emergency that was unforeseen
    • If cancelation is made at least one month prior to the program’s start date, less a $50 per-week deposit.
