Last week, Belmont Day’s school counselor, Josh Sussman, and mindfulness director and physical education teacher Alex Tzelnic, attended and presented at the AISNE (Association of Independent Schools in New England) Health and Wellness Conference in Norwood. Josh and Alex led a session on strategies and partnerships for developing and sustaining a successful wellness newsletter for a school community. In the session, Josh and Alex shared their insights from writing and distributing the BDS Toolkit, which is wrapping up its fourth school year and is full of a wide variety of valuable “tools.” The well-attended session garnered some great feedback and questions from the participants, which the Toolkit team looks forward to exploring as they prepare for next year.
