Join us to learn about the benefits and value of our middle school program from a panel of faculty, parents, and students.
They will speak about what to expect and look forward to during the middle school years, the importance of the eighth grade experience at Belmont Day, and the preparation provided for students and families as they consider options for high school. There will also be time for questions and breakout groups with panelists.
Author Maria Padian will discuss her latest novel, How to Build a Heart, at a presentation for students in grades 6, 7, and 8. This new book, as well as her earlier titles, are available through Belmont Books. Please follow the instructions on this flyer if you are interested in having a book signed and personalized for your student. Deadline for book ordering is Tuesday, January 29.
Fifth Grade Rehearses for Class Play
The fifth grade got right back to work after the break and are rehearsing for their class play, The Reluctant Dragon. This week, in addition to learning their lines and perfecting their characters, the students began learning the blocking of the play's scenes. The Reluctant Dragon will be performed on Friday, January 31 at 8:50 a.m. in the Palandjian Arts Center. We hope to see you then!
Our 2019-20 group of associate teachers have enjoyed the challenges of their first classroom placements through the fall and start of winter and are excited to move to their new assignments on Tuesday, January 21.
Please join us welcoming our associates in their new classrooms:
