COVID-19 Relief Campaign
About the COVID-19 Relief Campaign
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Belmont Day’s most pressing need is support for our COVID-19 Relief Campaign. Your support will help offset some of the unexpected expenses and losses incurred due to the pandemic. Gifts to the campaign will support the school's delivery of an excellent education guided by our mission and values while protecting our students' and faculty's safety. The $5,000 gap between tuition and the cost of educating a student will increase by an additional $3,000 per student to cover COVID-19 related expenses.
We ask all members of our community to consider supporting Belmont Day in a way that is meaningful to you. Your gift to the Belmont Day COVID-19 Relief Campaign allows us to be nimble and resilient in this uncertain time. Our collective support will make Belmont Day stronger as we face the future together!
COVID-19 expenses include:
- COVID-19 testing: weekly testing for students, faculty, and staff
- Increasing faculty support: hiring an additional nurse and seven assistant teachers
- Updating and expanding technology: 1-to-1 student devices, remote learning streaming capabilities, and licensing
- Investing in equipment to make our campus safe: outdoor tents, and PPE supplies
- Other needed supplies: ventilation materials, Plexiglas barriers, individual materials and resources for students
Community Give Back Challenge
As our mission states, Belmont Day is committed to “making meaningful contribution,” and this commitment is especially relevant as communities world-wide respond to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are excited to announce the launch of the Community Give Back Challenge, an initiative that will leverage the BDS community's support of the school while also making a meaningful contribution to communities beyond our campus.
Extend your impact!
Thanks to a generous anonymous donor, for every gift made to the Belmont Day COVID-19 Relief Campaign through October 4, a direct gift will be made to our community partner, Partners In Health (PIH) up to $25,000. PIH is working in 11 countries to support those most vulnerable during the pandemic and acting locally in partnership with Massachusetts's health infrastructure. To truly make an impact at Belmont Day and in the broader community, we challenge you to be inspired by this generosity and make a meaningful gift today!

About Our Community Partner
Partners In Health is leading Massachusetts' COVID-19 contact tracing efforts, drawing on 35-years of experience fighting disease outbreaks around the world. In addition to providing new treatments for tuberculosis in Peru and Lesotho; treating Ebola in Liberia and Sierra Leone; and establishing models of care in the global AIDS pandemic in Haiti and Rwanda, PIH teams on four continents are fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. They're protecting the most vulnerable, building health systems, and saving lives, locally and globally.
Partners In Health strives to achieve two overarching goals: to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need and serve as an antidote to despair. PIH draws on the world's leading medical and academic institutions' resources and the lived experience of the world's poorest and sickest communities. Its mission is both medical and moral and based on solidarity rather than charity alone.
