Eight students attended the AISNE Middle School Students of Color Conference at Buckingham Browne and Nichols School in Cambridge. This cohort of middle school students met and connected with peer students of color from neighboring independent schools throughout New England. They attended workshops and race-based affinity spaces where they engaged in healthy discussions involving allyship, inclusion, personal growth, and mentorship. Special thanks to second grade teacher Tina Fox and summer, after school, and enrichment programs administrator Joseph Jean-Mary for chaperoning the trip.
