Athletics Update: New Season Springs Into Action

March 20, 2026

There is a renewed sense of energy and excitement on campus as we officially kick off the spring athletics season. After a long winter, the recent stretch of warmer weather has melted away the snow and allowed us to get back outside on our fields, which has been a welcome sight for our student-athletes and coaches alike.

This spring, Belmont Day will field teams in boys’ varsity lacrosse, girls’ JV and varsity lacrosse, JV and varsity tennis, track & field, varsity ultimate, and mountain biking. It is an exciting and diverse lineup of offerings, providing opportunities for students to compete, grow, and challenge themselves in a variety of settings.

The season got off to a strong start this week. Both girls’ lacrosse and tennis held tryouts over the first three days, while our other teams jumped right into practices. Across all programs, students have been working hard, learning new systems, and building the foundations for a successful season.

As we head into next week, teams will continue to focus on developing team chemistry, establishing routines, and preparing for the start of competition. It is always an exciting time of year, and we are looking forward to seeing our student-athletes grow and thrive throughout the spring season.
