Students Package Food for The Village Table

March 6, 2026

Seventh grade students engaged in a service project to support The Village Table, aiming to deepen their understanding of food insecurity and community support. The day began with discussions on food insecurity: its meaning, its impact, and how communities can help. These conversations highlighted that access to nutritious food is not guaranteed for everyone, even locally.

With this knowledge, students took action by packaging food items for local community refrigerators, accessible to anyone in need. These refrigerators offer a straightforward way to share resources and ensure fresh food is available to those who need it.

The project exemplified learning through service, combining empathy, teamwork, and real-world impact. Our students participated with compassion and engagement, learning that small actions can make a significant difference.
