From Consumers to Producers
Students in sixth grade began their journey from merely being consumers of technology to controlling and producing their technology experiences. The students are learning the Python programming language and used it to create a simple text-based, choose-your-own-adventure game. Now they are mastering the Circuit Playground Express to control lights, play sounds and turn motors using the built-in sensors for temperature, light, sound and motion. After winter break, students will be using the new innovation space in the Barn to work with a variety of robotics projects to program movements, music and flashing lights. Stop by to check it out!
