The school garden has had a great season and continues to produce a variety of vegetables. This summer, we harvested over 175 pounds of fresh, chemical-free vegetables and herbs that included cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, garlic scapes, beans, tomatoes, basil, parsley, sage, thyme, and chives. Our associate teachers are graduate students who are knowledgeable and passionate about education. They come to Belmont Day to be mentored through a one-year residency by our master faculty. Through this collaboration with Lesley University’s Graduate School of Education, our faculty are shaping the next generation of teachers.
