On Community Service Day, the second graders spent the morning at Gaining Ground in Concord. Gaining Ground is a local nonprofit farm that grows and distributes 100% of its organic produce to local hunger relief agencies. Our associate teachers are graduate students who are knowledgeable and passionate about education. They come to Belmont Day to be mentored through a one-year residency by our master faculty. Through this collaboration with Lesley University’s Graduate School of Education, our faculty are shaping the next generation of teachers.
