Sixth Graders Create Comics on Scientific Method

October 2, 2026

Sixth-grade science class recently wrapped up their unit on the scientific method by blending scientific inquiry with creative storytelling. The primary learning goal of this activity was to deepen students’ understanding of experimental design—including formulating hypotheses, identifying variables, and analyzing results—by translating procedural steps into engaging visual narratives. By creating original comic strips that illustrate properly outlined experiments, students successfully demonstrated their mastery of sequential scientific reasoning and visual communication. This hands-on project provided an effective avenue for assessing comprehension while allowing our young scientists to celebrate their learning in a fun, expressive way.
