Arts Update: Middle School Musicians Gaining Confidence

May 1, 2026

Seventh and eighth grade students are growing more comfortable stepping up to the mic and sharing their musical voices with their middle school peers. A few weeks ago, students in the Find Your Voice elective performed a group arrangement of the song, Rewrite the Stars, from the movie The Greatest Showman at the Middle School Meeting. Students from our audio technology class ran the soundboard for this event. In class this week, students performed solos and duets of folk and pop songs that told impactful stories, focusing on vocal elements like diction, breath support, and vibrato.
