Belmont Day School offers programs during the February and April school vacation weeks. We offer an on-site program for children in pre-k to eighth grade and Explorers, a travel program for second to eighth graders.
February Program Fun
Program director Bea Reynolds reports: "We had a great week at Wachusett. We skied and snowboarded Tuesday to Friday and had a great group of 23 BDS students, summer session children, and friends from other communities. The children enjoyed a lesson in the morning, lunch with the group, and time to ski on their own with counselors from BDS in the afternoon. The weather was great, the kids improved noticeably from the first to the last day, and we're already looking forward to going back next year!"
Our onsite program focused on the theme of Asia. Participants enjoyed a variety of activities including making fortune cookies, arts and crafts, games, and outdoor fun.
Looking Ahead to April
Children participating in our onsite program will enjoy a variety of activities in a small-group setting. Each group will be co-ed and limited to seventeen children of similar age. Activities may include sports, games, woodworking, art, music, nature/science, and outdoor exploration.
Children in our Explorers program will take a field trip each of the four days. They may enjoy the excitement of the Big Apple Circus, visit the Patriot's Hall of Fame, go Atomic Bowling, walk the Freedom Trail or climb at an indoor rock gym. Children may sign up for individual days or for all four days. Children are required to bring a lunch and weather-appropriate clothing. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided.
