Additional Information

Please note: All of our programs close for registration at noon on the Thursday before the session start date, unless the program is already at capacity. Enrollment after this time may be available, but is at the Director's discretion and may incur an additional late enrollment fee.

Extended Day July 24 - August 18

Transportation

One bus route will run to and from camp each day from June 26 to September 1. The bus will make four stops at the following locations:

  • Huron Avenue - near Huron and Sparks Street intersection (exact address TBD)
  • Porter Square - John F. Kennedy School
  • East Arlington - Crosby Park (Between Winter and Oxford Streets)
  • Arlington Heights - Ed Burns Skating Arena (422 Summer Street)  

The bus will run the route in the order listed above in the morning and in reverse order in the afternoon. The route will begin around 8 a.m. and the bus will depart BDS at 4 p.m. daily to begin drop-off. Specific pick-up and drop-off times will be determined shortly.

The cost for the bus is $90/family/week. You can sign up to take advantage of this service using our online system. If you have already enrolled in camp and would like to add bus service, you can do so by clicking on "Forms and Documents" and then selecting "Additional Options." If you have more than one child that will be riding the bus, please select "Bus - Additional Child" to add all riders.

Important notes:  

  • There is no bus service provided during the pre-camp week of June 19.  
  • Bus service is only available for regular camp dismissals: no bus service is offered for half-day Rambler dismissals or for afternoon extended day dismissals.

Discounts Available

Journeys multi-week: 5% off all Journeys sessions if enrolled in 4 or more weeks combined of camp and Journeys

Sibling Discount, available for all sessions: $25 per child when 2 or more children are enrolled

Payment Terms for Camp & Journeys Programs

There is a one-time, $40 per camper enrollment fee. This fee is waived if you enroll prior to February 27, 2017.

Payment is due based on the following schedule:

  • 25% due upon enrollment until March 15
  • 50% of balance due April 15 or upon enrollment between March 16 and April 15
  • 75% of balance due May 15, or upon enrollment between April 16 and May 15
  • 100% of balance due June 15

Refunds will be given as follows:

  • Full refunds are only give in the case of a medical or family emergency that was unforeseen regardless of date of event
  • Partial refunds may be available as follows:
    • $50 per 1-week session or $100 per 2-week session administrative fee is non-refundable until April 15
    • 25% per session is non-refundable after April 15
    • Tuition is not refundable within 2 weeks of the session start date
  • School extension for snow days:
    • In the event that school runs later than expected because of snow days or other missed days, Belmont Day will prorate a session for the days that school is still in session provided the family decides to attend school and not camp.
