Play Production
July 21 to August 8, 2008 (Summer Session Closed
July 4th)
The Program
Children will experience the magic of staging a play. The production is entirely
the work of the children, from costuming to set construction and make up
to props. Each day participants (entering grades 3 - 8) will learn,
play, and rehearse in small and large groups in a nurturing and creative
atmosphere. Program director Joy Lamberton, M.Ed., will bring to BDS her
love of theater and experiences with American Repertory Theater, Shakespeare & Company,
and the Watertown Children's Theater. Experienced teachers/artists will lead
participants in scene work and technical theater workshops. Children will
also enjoy outdoor recreational activities and a daily swim period.
