Skills Training & Competitive Play
August 23 to 27
- for children entering grades one to eight -
The Program
Belmont Day School’s Go!Soccer program is dedicated to providing excellent soccer instruction in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. Our goal is to give each child the opportunity to learn through participation in skill stations, small-sided groups, and games. There is an 8:1 child to coach ratio.
Go!Soccer is headed by John O'Neill, Director of Athletics at Belmont Day School. John is a graduate of Bates College. He recently completed the associate teacher training program at BDS and earned a master's degree from Lesley University. Under John's guidance our coaches provide positive feedback and lots of encouragement so the players can develop a love for soccer!
Belmont Day School boasts excellent athletic facilities with two full fields and a smaller third field ideal for 6 v. 6 games. We also utilize the gymnasium, which gives us an opportunity to play indoor soccer and master some of the technical aspects of the game. A highlight for our soccer players is an afternoon swim in our sparkling pool - a wonderful way to beat the heat!
