Hours
Summer Session operates from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through
Friday. Arrival begins at 8:45 a.m., and dismissal begins at
3:45. The half-day pre-kindergarten program runs from 9:00 a.m.
to 12:30 p.m. (including a lunch period).
Extended Day
Children enrolled in our extended day program may arrive as early as 7:45 a.m.
and stay as late as 5:30 p.m. There is an additional fee for this program.

Transportation
BDS does not provide transportation.
Lunch
Children bring their own lunch. BDS provides beverages and snacks. Belmont
Day School is a nut free environment.
Staff
Our creative staff includes professional educators as well as mature
college and high school students. Specialist staff are selected for
content expertise in their activity area as well as teaching experience.
The staff enthusiastically supports the BDS values of respect, honesty,
caring, joy, excellence, and responsibility.
Facilities
Participants enjoy outdoor activities on our large playing fields and
tennis and basketball courts and in our surrounding woods. Our outstanding
swim program takes place in our 40 X 80-ft pool and adjacent practice pool.
Indoor activities make use of our brand new gymnasium and performing arts
center as well as our art studios and woodworking shop.
Safety
Our highest priority at Belmont Day School is to ensure the safety and
well-being of every child. An experienced licensed nurse is on site daily.
All directors, pool staff, and many program staff are certified in first-aid
and CPR.
