Each day at 8:30 a.m., morning meeting begins in our pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classrooms. Morning meeting reminds students and teachers alike that we are all members of a community of learners. Children who enter Belmont Day School in pre-k and k come from a wide range of preschool and daycare settings. Given the diversity of early experiences, a central goal of the curriculum is to create a sense of unity and belonging among these children who are the newest members of our community. Getting to know the other children in the classroom and making connections with children and adults across the school is the primary focus of the fall term.
