FacultyI take pride in being a part of the Belmont Day School community and am excited each day as I discover a new dimension of the learning process. As I reflect on our unique program, I think:
Where else but at Belmont Day School could I celebrate
the Capstone research projects presented by each eighth grader
in the kiva?
Where else but at Belmont Day School could I step outside my
door and walk into the woods alongside a fourth grader who shows
me her own written guide to the flora and fauna we will encounter?
Where else but at Belmont Day School could I work so productively
with faculty and parents and trustees on an Education Committee?
Where else but at Belmont Day School could I be so inspired by the
conversations on teaching conducted by our own faculty?
I treasure this community, its wonderful blend of families and dedicated
teachers and staff, its intellectually curious and welcoming children,
its setting on the hill.

Families The parents who founded this school knew it was possible
to create such an environment for children, a place where creativity
and a rigorous course of study would intertwine, where intellect and
emotion would find balance. It is our responsibility to do everything
we can to continue along this path in shaping what is to come.
To accomplish our goal of excellence and excitement in learning:
We must continue to attract and retain teachers who understand
the complexity of the learning process and who bring passion and
commitment to the classroom.
